NOSTA Group: 18 apprentices embark on careers in logistics

• Young talents begin their careers in three professional fields across five locations
• Logistics service provider employs a total of 60 apprentices
• Comprehensive onboarding programme to kick-start their caree

Osnabrück, 4 August 2026 – On 3 August, the NOSTA Group welcomed 17 young talents to mark the start of the new apprenticeship year. A further apprentice will begin their career with the Osnabrück-based full-service logistics provider on 1 September. The young talents will support the family-run business in the areas of freight forwarding and logistics services, warehouse logistics and IT specialising in system integration. The NOSTA Group currently employs a total of 60 apprentices. To kick things off, the young talents can look forward to a three-day induction programme in Lengerich, Ladbergen and Osnabrück.

“Vocational training is an investment in the future of our company and our industry, because today’s trainees are tomorrow’s logistics specialists. We are therefore all the more delighted to welcome 18 motivated young people to NOSTA this training year,” says Alischa Reitz, Head of Training at the NOSTA Group.

Once again this year, the programme kicked off with a varied get-to-know-you session. Reitz says: “Starting a career is an exciting step for many young people. Our aim is to provide our trainees with professional development and personal support right from day one. This includes getting to know one another and conveying our corporate values in a relaxed atmosphere.” The first items on the programme on Monday were therefore team-building activities and an introduction to NOSTA’s corporate culture at Hof Schlamann in Lengerich.

On Tuesday, the programme includes communication training, an introduction to IT and health and safety, and an insight into logistics processes: the trainees will be given a guided tour of the warehouse at the Ladbergen site and will get to know the vehicle fleet during a tour of the lorries. To round off the induction days, Wednesday will feature a presentation by the HR department and the quality management team, as well as tours of the NOSTA Group’s combined transport (CT) terminal and the Osnabrück Container Terminal (CTOS), in which NOSTA holds a stake.

14 of the 18 new apprentices are undertaking training as freight forwarding and logistics service clerks. The intake is complemented by three future warehouse logistics specialists, whilst another apprentice is undergoing retraining to become an IT specialist for system integration. The majority of the new recruits – 13 in total – are starting their careers at the Ladbergen site. Further staff will be joining the branches in Hamburg, Osnabrück, Schwerte and Viernheim.
