Arriving together: 2025 trainee onboarding at the NOSTA Group

Starting an apprenticeship marks an important step in the lives of young people. At the NOSTA Group, we are once again supporting this step this year with a carefully planned onboarding program. The aim is to give new trainees the best possible start to their professional future while also strengthening teamwork and deepening their understanding of our company.

Three locations, many impressions

This year's onboarding program took the new trainees to three different locations: the Hof Schlamann in Lengerich—an agricultural estate and event venue—the NOSTA site in Ladbergen, and the port of Osnabrück. The program lasted a total of three days. The trainees spent one and a half days at Hof Schlamann, half a day in Ladbergen, and a full day in Osnabrück.

As in the previous year, Hof Schlamann provided the ideal setting for making initial contacts in a pleasant atmosphere. "It is important to us that our new trainees not only get to know the NOSTA Group as an employer but also develop a feel for our corporate culture and values," emphasizes Alischa Reitz, Head of Apprenticeships at the NOSTA Group. In addition to information about the apprenticeship, the program included practical workshops on communication and professional conduct. Joint activities also ensured that the new trainees were able to get to know each other better.

The group then continued on to Ladbergen, where our new trainees gained their first insight into the logistical operations of the warehouse. The visit to the Container Terminal Osnabrück (CTOS), which helped make the diversity and complexity of the logistics sector tangible, was an interesting conclusion.

A diverse group

We welcomed a total of 25 new trainees in 2025. Notably, our new talents this year are on average slightly older than in previous years—so they are no longer exclusively school leavers. Apprenticeships in the commercial sector are in particularly high demand.

Diversity as an opportunity

"Our new trainees this year come from very different backgrounds, especially many from the Steinfurt district, but we are also becoming increasingly diverse internationally," reports Alischa Reitz. "That's why we're offering a German and culture course again this year to ensure a smooth start for everyone. It is important to us that everyone feels welcome—regardless of their background or previous career."

Growing together

As in previous years, it has been shown that a structured introduction through joint onboarding not only makes the transition into working life easier but also promotes mutual understanding and team culture. This is how we at the NOSTA Group lay the foundations for a successful and collaborative apprenticeship period.
